07 Sep The London Inn

Straight out of Central Casting this is exactly the sort of pub everyone heading south west imagines they’ll wind down in. Low ceilings, Toby Jugs, a collection of vintage ales, old photographs of Padstow legends, tattoos, not one but two open fires in the winter, and crab sandwiches the dimensions of shoe boxes. The first pint was pulled there in 1803. It’s a St.Austell Brewery pub with Proper Job – a golden hoppy ale – on tap.  6-8 Lanadwell Street.
