07 Sep Camel Trail/Wadebridge
During school holidays the 5.5 mile section of the Camel Trail between Padstow and Wadebridge can get pretty hairy. At other times it is a delightful, car free means of reaching the nearest major commercial centre. There’s a Lidls at the end of the trail. The town has good owner occupier shops including, Dickson’s hardware, and a number of clothes shops, a bookshop, and cafes in the pedestrianised Molesworth Street. The Trail is pretty flat all the way. There is no shortage of bike rentals at either end. Just remember it’s just as much a pedestrian walk as a cycle path, with plenty of dog walkers as well.
